Sports Active Wexford is the Local Sports Partnership established by the Irish Sports Council and housed within the County Development Board structure in Wexford. The THU administers HSE Section 39 funding to 14 Traveller Health Projects in the region. The aim of the Traveller Health Projects in the region is to provide Health Awareness Education, support to access services and promote and encourage healthier lifestyles among Travellers.

The County Wexford Traveller Men’s Health Programme aims to improve the health and well-being of the men who participate (see course contents below). The programme is managed by FDYS Ltd. and is funded through the Traveller Health Unit of the HSE. There are currently 3 groups running in Bunclody, Taghmon and Adamstown.
